I have been a fan since around two years which in comparison to other people probably isn't that long. But (this blog being exhibit A) I am committed and I'm totally in. From the beginning, I daydreamed about how I would go to a concert when I'd visit Seoul. There always was the matter of timing but that would be my worry later when I was actually there. The best scenario would be if I could go to a Big Bang concert or at least to a concert of my favorite artist - G-Dragon. And then around a month ago, I saw the trailer below and heard about the new EP and thought "Great, this is probably gonna be the last one before he enlists... So I have to wait for at least three or so more years..." Because with Big Bang and so on, you never know when the next album will be released. Although I already knew he wouldn't come to Europe on his world tour, because apparently to Korean artists Europe isn't part of the world, I looked it up and of course it was as I'd thought. No concerts in Europe, not even one. Just in the US and Asia... Then, a week ago, a dear friend of mine tagged me on a Facebook post saying there had been concert dates added - IN EUROPE! In Birmingham, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. There is gonna be a GD concert in Germany! Naturally, there was no way I would let this chance slide, especially because a friend of mine lives next to Berlin so I don't even have to pay for a hotel or whatever! Long story short: I got tickets (which were way too expensive but like I was gonna care about the price!) - more specifically ONE ticket for myself - and I will meet all the other European VIPs in Berlin on September 30th! I'm so psyched, I can't even believe it yet... For all European VIPs:
There are still tickets available (at least for Berlin) so go go go!

I've been away for so long and within the last year, some great music has been released! I've been paying attention, more or less closely, and now it's about time I share some of my favorite from the last year. There's been so much news during the last 12 months, it's unbelievable. BEAST changed labels and had to change their name to Highlight, so many bands disbanded (4minute, 2NE1, Sistar...) and a lot more. In August last year my favorite girl group by far had their debut - Blackpink. These four ladies are amazing and I love all of their songs, no exceptions! In China, I ran around university with some Korean friends of mine singing along to "Playing With Fire" and I cannot wait for an actual album to be released, hopefully as soon as possible! My favorite Blackpink song so far is still Boombayah though. Next: Very recently, my favorite singer ever (GD) released a new EP - Kwon Jiyong. And I was stoked, especially because the songs are amazing! My favorite is Bullshit but the title song is very nice as well! (I might just love everything he does though, who knows? There's some amazing news for me as well. It's been my dream for the past three or so years to sometime see Big Bang or G-Dragon live and this year in September that might actually happen. I'll see if I can get tickets to the concert in Berlin. For all the European VIPs, here's the post on Facebook with all the info and here is the official YG Entertainment page. Tickets for Berlin go on sale on Friday at 10AM. Speaking of Big Bang (or their members), their comeback back in December was EPIC and I was so hyped up for basically an entire week. Fxxk It was on repeat for at least three weeks after it was released, it's an amazing song! Another amazing song from last August was Dancing King, a collaboration between EXO and Yoo Jaesuk, Korea's favorite MC. I'd been psyched for it for a long time and it's just so hyper and fun, and it makes you wanna dance so much, it earned its title. The making of this song and MV can be seen on Infinity Challenge Episode 498. Another great song from last year was Skydive by B.A.P. I remember distinctly where I first heard it, at the hair dresser while I was waiting. And the last song for this post: Bermuda Triangle by Zico featuring Crush and Dean. Oh my dear lord, this song is amazing! I love Zico and his music and this is probably one of my all-time favorites! What are your favorite songs from the last year (or past few months)? Any recommendations? Share them in the comments! I'd love to hear some favorites! On the top of my list is Sechs Kies' new album, I still haven't listened to it... (And I call myself a fan, shame on me...) |
